Emergency Support Program

Since the October 7th attack on Israel, and the war that followed these horrific acts, we have extended our services in Israel to meet the needs emerging from our families there.

The families we support in Israel are currently facing numerous challenges and dealing with an overwhelmed and changed medical landscape: the unprecedented number of casualties hampered hospitals and medical centers' ability to sustain the children's treatment protocols. Additionally, the hazards of traveling during rocket attacks have halted treatments that are typically administered at home. Moreover, the emotional toll from personal and national trauma has drained parents' emotional resources, especially as many are also involved in reserve duty.

Our team has been working tirelessly since the onset of hostilities to aid these families. In response to these challenges, we've initiated an emergency support program:

  • Emotional Support: we've bolstered our existing support system of dedicated case managers, offering personalized assistance to each of the 90 Israeli families we currently aid. All backed by professional psychological support to ensure their well-being.

  • Logistical Support: Families facing transportation challenges due to displacement, evacuation, or enlistment are being provided shuttle services to and from hospitals for their treatments.

  • Continuance of Care: when critical treatment processes, such as bone marrow transplant, face challenges due to shortages of sterile rooms in some units which relocated underground, we assist with maintaining continuance of care - even when it means that treatment needs to be given outside of Israel. We assist the families in this process, from handling logistics to plane tickets to accommodations to coordinating with insurance companies and hospitals.

Your support during these trying times can bring hope to these families:

Fund Emotional Support: $25/hour estimated need for 30 families/month totaling $7,500/month.

Fund Logistic Support: $95 per round-trip estimated for approximately 2 trips/week for ~30 families, totaling $5,700/week.

Fund Continuance of Care (Relocation): Approximately $11,000/family for relocation expenses, covering flight tickets and first-month accommodations.

Any contribution you make toward this cause is invaluable and life-changing:

Thank you for your unwavering support!

During these challenging times, we pray for the safety of the Israeli soldiers and for the safe return of all kidnapped men, women, and children. Together, we will continue to stand strong.
