About this website

This website is a center of unique wisdom, bringing to life hidden knowledge and unique experiences of parents and guardians of children with cancer. In other words, this website brings you information which you cannot find on Google.
We know that when dealing with a very sick child, you have very little time if any to ask around and learn what needs to be done. Actually, when you think about it, there isn’t anyone to really ask: not the doctor nor the social worker can dive with you into the details of what lays ahead.

Here you can find personal stories told in an informative way, tips and advice about specific doctors or hospitals, nutrition tips, after treatment issues and all sorts of pieces of information you can get only from parents who have been there. It’s more than information, and even more than knowledge; it’s wisdom. It’s crowd-wisdom.

We also provide recomended links and directions to other websites and pages where you will be able to find basic information about a specific type of cancer or learn about cancer centers near you.

For families who need to relocate for treatment, we provide a ‘soft landing pad’ by connecting you to the local community. In order to facilitate the changing needs from arrival through the sometimes-long stay, each family get their own personal page with their updated needs. These pages can be found under the Help a Family section.

“When our child gets sick with a rare cancer, we become experts on that specific type, working so hard to get this knowledge. It is just a waste keeping this information to ourselves. That is why this project is so significant.”
